Well, carelessness and mostly stupidity.

So it was a rainy afternoon and i was really bored. I decided to take some indoor shoots with my strobes. After about 10 minutes of setting up, i was ready to shoot. I had my 400D mounted on the cheapo tripod i got....

Then it happened...

One of the legs of the tripod wasn't locked properly and it started falling over. I watched helplessly as i saw my camera hit the ground with random parts flying everywhere.

Immediately, i picked it up, checked and checked the lens. No damage.
i switched on my camera. It worked.
Snapped a picture, it worked.

The only actual damage was the trigger of my poverty wizards, broke the plastic on it's hotshoe. I checked with my local supplier and a replacement would cost a little under $20 which is not bad at all considering i could have broken both the 400D and the lens.

*Whew*

So yeah, i'm pretty sure i'll be more careful now when setting up camera equipment xD
